The edges of the 2 Euro coins are  inscripted and can therefor be different for each Country. Here you find an overview of the various edge inscriptions. The inscriptions can be made clockwise as well as counter clockwise. There are rumors of coins with the wrong edge inscription but they are not confirmed. This can probably be caused by the fact that some Mints have their blanks in scripted by the supplier and there is a possibility that some of these blanks went to the wrong Mint.

De randen van de 2 euromunten zijn voorzien van een randinscriptie die per land verschillend kan zijn. Hier vindt je een overzicht van de verschillende randinscripties. De inscripties kunnen zowel linksom als rechtsom lopen. Er is sprake van enkele exemplaren met een verkeerde randinscriptie, maar dit is nog niet officieel bevestigd. Dit kan mogelijk veroorzaakt worden doordat sommige landen hun ongeslagen munten bij de leverancier van de rand inscriptie laten voorzien en er zodoende enkele bij de verkeerde Munt terecht gekomen zijn.

In sommige gevallen is het randschrift op de 2 euro herdenkingsmunten afwijkend. Onder de landennaam zie je dan het jaar van uitgifte van deze herdenkingsmunten.
